We’re preparing the first issue of Lit Pup, but in the future, all past issues of the magazine will be housed here!

Lit Pup is a literary magazine open to all poetry, creative works, and artwork, written by budding creative writers under the age of 18.

Whether they are in elementary school just learning about poetry and rhyme, or they’re 17 and reading their first poems by Edgar Allan Poe and interested in writing poems and stories of their own, we want to read them!

Shark-, ocean-, and conservation-themed works are fun and will absolutely be considered for publication here, but we do not require a particular theme for our works. Whatever themes fall on a young writer’s heart are welcome here.

The one exception is artwork! Artwork of any kind is welcome, but we’re VERY interested in portraits of sharks that we can share around the site! (Super boxy and warped sharks colored in purple with wayyyy oversized teeth and asymmetrical eyes drawn by a four-year-old, next to Picasso-inspired and Warhol-inspired sharks by teens, could you imagine?!)

When you submit your work, if accepted, your work will appear in the next issue of the literary magazine that has availability, but it might also be featured in a highlight post on our blog, and it will have a chance to appear in our annual “Best Of” anthology.
