Sometimes after spending a lot of time with a piece, you need someone to tell you what’s working and what could still be fine-tuned. With more than 15 years of editing experience and over 20 years of shifting through literary magazine submission piles, we’ve got you covered.

For $20, a writer can submit up to 3 poems (or 5 pages) or 1 story (10 pages) and receive the following:

1. 1. thorough line-editing checking for grammar, punctuation, stylistics, and questionable passages
   2. a “reader’s reaction” to the piece: what the reader likes, what the reader questions, etc.
   3. a thorough two-page workshop-style discussion of your piece, your writing style, what’s working in the piece, what changes would give the piece that extra sparkle, and a few suggestions of where to submit.

Workshops

Summer Deep Dive Workshop

For teens in need of a creative outlet during the summer, writing friends, and the satisfaction of being creatively productive during the summer months!

The workshop will take place over the course of 4 weeks with 2 sessions per week (8 in total). The workshop will start the week after the 4th of July week with the workshop ending at the start of August.

Teens will be provided with creative lessons, reading materials, frequent writing prompts, and opportunities to write, and unique self-study exercises to teach teen writers how to study their favorite writers and self-propel their writing progress after the workshop is over.

$250 for the workshop with all materials included
