Final Days to Submit to All Lit Shark Projects!!

by

Hi readers, writers, and shark fans!

Happy Wednesday! We apologize for not posting as frequently. We’ve been busy reading the submissions you’ve already sent for Issues 10, 11, and 12, your Poem of the Month submissions, and your early bird submissions for The Shiver Collective. We’ve been busy, but a very good busy! But we promise to be back with more regular content in a few days.

In the meantime, if you’re still interested in submitting, here are a few calls that are closing soon:

Issue 10 of Lit Shark Magazine: The Spring Edition: Closing Friday, May 16, 2025. Always Free to Submit – Submit Here!
This is our second “general” issue of the year, so if you want to submit something that isn’t themed, now’s your chance!

Submissions for the first full-length issue of Lit Pup Magazine: Friday, May 30, 2025. Always Free to Submit – Submit Here!
We didn’t receive enough submissions to publish a second mini-edition of Lit Pup Magazine, but we’re aiming to have enough pieces to publish a nice-sized annual paperback edition in time for the academic summer break. If you’d like to have your work considered, please send it before the end of the month. Also, because of the low response, we may switch to only publishing the annual in the future, rather than the mini-issues, or we might have to say good night and goodbye to Lit Pup entirely. So now would be your chance to be in our possibly-solo edition of the magazine.

Submissions for our paid Poem of the Month contest: Friday, May 30, 2025. Always Free to Submit – Submit Here!
As usual, our Poem of the Month deadline is at the end of each month! We’ll be promoting our latest this coming week and would love to see more work coming in for next month. Exciting!
Reminder: The winner of the Poem of the Month contest receives $20, a unique and original digital broadside of their winning poem, automatic inclusion in the next issue of Lit Shark Magazine and the year’s Lit Shark Best Of anthology, and mentions on our social media and website. Honorable Mentions are also mentioned on our social media and website, and they are also automatically included in the next issue of Lit Shark Magazine and the year’s Lit Shark Best Of anthology.

Submissions for the “Early Bird window” for The Shiver Collective: Sunday, June 1, 2025. $15 to Submit – Submit Here!
We are currently reading our received Early Bird submissions, and so far still have four out of five possible “slots” for the Early Bird special available. If you’d like to save $5 on submissions, now is the time, but if you need more time, we’ll officially launch in September!

That’s it for today, everyone! Thank you, as always, for being here, for sharing Lit Shark with your friends, and for sharing and trusting us with your work. It’s a pleasure and an honor, and we’re so glad you’re here.

We’re going to settle in and get back to reading submissions, and we’re excited to see what else you might have up your sleeves!

Happy Submitting, readers, writers, and shark fans!
