Happy New Year! Lit Shark’s Best Of 2024 Anthology Is Out Now!

by

Happy Friday, readers, writers, and shark fans! Happy, Happy New Year to each of you!

I hope you’re having a wonderful week! I’ve been enjoying my first full week off of work in the past nine years, and I had a wonderful time disconnecting from my workspace, making memories with my family, taking lots of photos, napping, watching Star Wars for the first time, and anticipating the release of Lit Shark’s Best Of 2024 Anthology!

Today, in lieu of our first Friday Feed of 2025, I’m happy to share some great news! Lit Shark’s Best Of 2024 Anthology is now available to purchase in paperback and hardcover editions.  Like all of the issues of Lit Shark Magazine, a lot of love and thought went into this anthology, and I’m especially proud of the growth that is evident in these pages.

In Lit Shark’s second year, over 1,500 submissions were received, and of those 1,500+, fewer than 300 pieces were selected. For the anthology, we selected our 50 favorite pieces from the year (as our “old” pieces) and invited those 50 writers to submit a “new” piece to appear alongside their “old” piece. With that, we give you, “Something Old, Something New, Something to Sink Your Teeth Into.” I hope you love it as much as I do!

Welcome to Lit Shark’s Best Of 2024 Anthology!

Interested in a Preview First?

In case you’re interested in a preview of the anthology, you can find a segment of the book here, and if you’re willing to do some digging, you can also go back to the issues of Lit Shark Magazine to read all of the “old” pieces contained in the collection. If you’d like to read the “new” pieces and enjoy the artwork, there are paperback and hardcover (and future e-book) editions to choose from!

What About An E-Book Edition?

We’re also excited to share that we’re working hard to release the e-book editions of all of our past Lit Shark Magazine issues, Lit Shark’s Best Of 2023 Anthology, and Lit Shark’s Best Of 2024 Anthology as e-book editions in time for our second birthday – along with another special surprise. Stay tuned for that!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

To all of you who have supported Lit Shark, as always, thank you. It’s been a labor of love, wonder, excitement, and simply being humbled at every turn, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m so excited to share this anthology with you, as well as the many more projects we have coming in 2025 and beyond!
