Suggestions

In response to the recent controversies surrounding NaNoWriMo, Lit Shark wants to develop its own community celebrating the concept of writing a full first draft of a novel in one month. Since this is brand new, we are open to suggestions! What would you like to see in a community like this? Which tools would be the most useful to you to meet your goals?

Oct-Nov-Dec Timeline

We're thinking of providing exercises, writing prompts, and exercises for outlining for our upcoming novels in October, doing the actual writing throughout the month of November, and providing tips for editing first drafts in December. Let us know if this timeline works for you or if you're interested in another timeline!

Write-Ins and Local Gatherings

Since this is all happening so fast, we're not sure how we will approach organizing local writing groups, but we know that this was vital to many people's process each year during the month of November! We are entertaining the idea of doing virtual write-ins for our whole community, but we're still exploring how to go about helping each of you find local writers to potentially complete this challenge with.

Let us know how important this feature is to your November experience, and of course, if you have suggestions, we're listening!
